Project Overview
The Guardian is a 2025 Cambodian horror feature produced by Two Rivers International Studio, released theatrically in Cambodia in June 2025. Retics Digital handled all visual effects across the full post-production pipeline, delivering a consistent and grounded visual language for the horror sequences throughout the film.
Retics Digital Contribution
We developed the horror visual language from scratch grounded and visceral rather than stylised. Our work includes blood simulation for practical augmentation, the central face-burning effect sequence, water and smoke dynamics for atmospheric scenes, and final compositing across all VFX shots.
