tracking & matchmoving
Camera Tracking & Matchmoving
what is it
Camera tracking and matchmoving is the science of reverse-engineering a camera’s position, rotation, and lens behaviour from a piece of filmed footage. It is the foundational step that makes it possible to insert CG objects, environments, or effects into live-action shots and have them behave as if they were physically present on the day of filming.
what we do
We analyse every frame of your footage to extract precise motion data. Whether it is a handheld shot, a crane move, a dolly, or a locked-off frame, we build a 3D virtual camera that moves identically to the real one. This data drives every downstream element — CG objects, matte paintings, and FX must all share the same camera to look real.

Paint & Cleanup
Paint, Cleanup & Removal
what is it
Paint and cleanup is the invisible craft of removing from a shot everything that should not be there — wires, rigs, safety equipment, marks, crew reflections, boom mics, continuity errors, or any production artifact that breaks the illusion of the scene. Done well, it leaves no trace. The audience never knows it happened.
what we do
Frame by frame, our artists clean your footage to the level required by each shot. Simple static removals take minutes. Complex moving shots — where background information must be reconstructed behind a moving subject — require detailed hand-painting combined with intelligent fill techniques. We handle both ends of that spectrum.

keying & greenscreen
Keying, Green Screen & Extraction
what is it
Green screen keying is the process of isolating a subject — an actor, object, or prop — from a uniform coloured backdrop and placing them into a different environment. It is one of the most common and demanding tasks in VFX: poor keying is immediately obvious on screen, while excellent keying is completely invisible.
what we do
We approach every key as a unique problem. Lighting inconsistencies, spill, fine hair detail, motion blur, and semi-transparent elements like smoke or fabric all require specific treatment. We combine primary key extraction with rotoscoping, edge treatment, and colour integration to produce subjects that belong fully in their new environment.

3D Worlds & Environments
3D Environments & Matte Painting
what is it
3D environments and matte painting is the art of building the world beyond what was physically constructed on the production. It extends a real location into an impossible vista, replaces a car park with a devastated city, or places a character inside a world that only exists in the script. It is how cinema makes the impossible feel inevitable.
what we do
We build digital environments that hold up under the scrutiny of a moving camera. Our pipeline combines photographic matte painting — assembled from real-world photography — with modelled 3D geometry, CG lighting, and atmospheric depth to produce environments that have texture, weight, and life.

Simulation
Simulation: Physics, FX & Destruction
what is it
Simulation is the discipline of using physical laws — gravity, fluid dynamics, rigid body physics, particle behaviour — to generate effects that would be impossible, dangerous, or prohibitively expensive to create practically on set. Fire, smoke, water, cloth, shattered glass, collapsing structures: these are the vocabulary of simulation.
what we do
We set up and run physics simulations calibrated to match the scale, weight, and atmosphere of your scene. A simulated explosion in a narrow corridor behaves differently to one in an open field — we tune every parameter to serve the shot. The result is rendered and composited so that simulated elements feel physically present in the live-action environment.

animation
Animation: Weight, Timing & Performance
what is it
Animation is the discipline of giving digital characters, creatures, and objects convincing weight, timing, and emotional performance. It is the difference between a CG element that exists in a scene and one that inhabits it. Good animation is invisible — the audience reads the performance, not the technique behind it.
what we do
We animate to the requirements of the shot — from subtle secondary motion on a background asset, to full character performance driven by reference footage and performance direction from the director. Our workflow is built around iteration: we work in playblasts and previews so the director sees and approves the performance before it ever reaches the final render.

Character Modelling
Character Modelling & Digital Sculpt
what is it
Character modelling is the process of building production-ready digital characters from scratch — creatures, humans, stylised figures, or photorealistic digital doubles. A well-built character model is the foundation for everything that follows: it must deform correctly for animation, hold detail under close-up scrutiny, and integrate seamlessly with the live-action photography it is composited into.
what we do
We sculpt characters with the level of anatomical accuracy and artistic intention the production requires — from initial blockout through final hero mesh. Our models are built to a clean topology standard that supports rigging and deformation without breaking, and are optimised for the render pipeline being used on the production.

compositing
Compositing: The Art of the Final Frame
what is it
Compositing is where everything comes together. Every element produced by every other discipline — the tracked camera, the cleaned plates, the keyed actors, the 3D environments, the simulated FX — is combined, colour-matched, light-wrapped, and graded into a single, coherent, believable image. It is the final argument for why the shot works.
what we do
Our compositors are the last eyes on every shot before delivery. We pull every layer together with one goal: does this frame look like it was shot in camera? Colour integration, edge quality, lens characteristics, grain, and depth of field are all matched to the original photography. We deliver shots that hold up at full resolution on a cinema screen.
